It seems that the biggest problem guys encounter is how to make a girl want you. The mentality of most guys is that only men like women initially… and somehow you have to convince them to like you in return. This fallacy has propelled men into trying to ‘win over’ women, as seen in so many Hollywood movies.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the rule, but rather the exception.

 The general rule is that women are attracted as much as men to new people they meet throughout their lives. Its just that most women are used to being approached, so they won’t be as pro-active about talking to a guy they like. For men, its a different story.

They are used to being ignored by women, and that further propels the myth that women aren’t attracted to men. So with that frame of mind, they approach and converse with women with the “I need to make her like me” mindset. This is awful !

There is nothing worse than a person that is “Trying to make you like him!”

The first rule to getting someone to like you is to be at LEAST their equal in terms of status. A healthy relationship has both partners doing things for each other. One partner might work while the other raises the kids, one might cook and the other might build the deck and so on.

However, this is often taken out of context. If you’re at a bar, and a girl asks you to buy her a drink. She’s testing you to see if you’ll do as she bids. Why WOULD you buy her a drink ? The only context that this might be socially acceptable would be if the guy proposed: “hey, let’s get some drinks and then he casually bought hers.” By the way, if ever in doubt if you should pay or not when ordering something together… then pay.

The second rule of getting a girl to want you is to tease her! Teasing done right is flirting. If you’ve ever seen a cat jump viciously at a ball of string dangling from a height, then you’ll know how teasing works. It’s playful, fun, challenging and very addictive at the same time.

If you want to learn how to make a girl want you, look at how women make guys want them. They dress up in attractive clothing, move in sensual ways, ignore guys, allude to your imagination and act aloof. Attraction is subtle, and girls seem to master the art. My best advice would be to befriend an attractive girl and pay attention to what attracts you to her.

Men fake it ALL the time!

Women think only THEY can fake it and that THEY are masters of the faking game. Well SISTAHS I'm sorry to have to burst your little burble. But MEN have been FAKING it all this time! I know I am a man! 

Yyou meet a lovely looking creature and say to yourself " Hey! Thats a nice looking gal! I wish I could take her to bed!" But since we are men, start the faking game! Take her to the movies, buy her presents, hangout with her dumb loud friends etc just to get inside her pants!

You know all those nice sexy little sms's and calls? Does not mean anything! Just part of the routine!

What about sex? You know how many men actually  think of other things during sex? Well all of them! Why do you think men sleep immediately after?

We MEN have eaten all sots of unrecognisable and foul conconctions just to keep our women happy! "Darling that was the best meal ever!!" Translation: Cant this woman even cook!

Men have been faking it since Adam and it does'nt look like things are about to change. As long as women think they have one over us I can only say DREAM ON SISTAHS.

Hot Face or Hot Body?

I've asked my guy friends this question: would you rather date someone with a hot body but okay face, or hot looking with an okay body? and this is the response I've gotten back.

"Depends on if it's strictly for sex or if I'm in a relationship. If it's only for sex, definitely the hot body. But if it's a long term relationship, definitely the hot looking face."

Hmm, makes me wonder. Does a pretty face fare better than a hot body in the long run when it comes to relationships versus flings and the dating scene marathon?

Comebacks for Nerdy Pick-up Lines

I've seen other blogs that have listed these, and I've heard people joke about how awesome they are. But like the true geek that I am, I have comebacks for these:

Guy:  I wish I was your derivative so I could lie tangent to your curves.
Girl: Sorry, you're my asymptote.

Guy: I wish I was your integral, then I could fill the area under your curves.
Girl: My integral is improper, and in this case, it fails to exist.

Guy: I'd like to see what's under your radical.
Girl: A student of Pythagoras was killed for asking that question.  (FYI: He threw him off a boat for "discovering" irrational numbers.)

Guy: You and I would add up better than a Riemann sum.
Girl: But not any better than Simpson's rule.

Guy: If I were a function you would be my asymptote - I always tend towards you.
Girl: But you can never hope to reach me. Ever.

Guy: I hope you know set theory because I want to intersect and union you.
Girl: You can't intersect or union the null set.

Guy: You know.. it's not the length of the vector that counts... it's how you apply the force.

Guy: I must be the Sun and you must be Earth, cause the closer we get, the hotter you become.
Girl: The Earth is further away from the sun during the summer. So obviously you aren't making me any hotter. (note: this comeback is only valid in the northern hemisphere)

Don’t be a Weird Pick Up Guy

Too many guys get into pick up, drop all their existing friends, and when you fast forward a year or so, they are just hanging out with fellow PUA dudes, they have no female friends and are a little weird. Don’t fall into that trap, use your new-found skills to build a social network.

• Network, Network, Network

The more people you know the larger your group standing. Ask people what they do for a living, ask for their business card or contact details as “you never know when you might come in handy” This is a really simple business close I have used on countless occasions; Including Head of Intel UK, Head of Communications of the Three phone network and Head of A+R Sony. As you can see these are all real people who have massive value and yet were more than happy to hand over a business card, with their mobile number on, all for potential business and networking.

• Organise a night out, invite all your friends, tell them to bring friends

Friends have friends who have friends, and so on. Organising a night out once every 3-4 months will really help you become more social and get used to leading the group dynamic, raising your profile, especially on the night you organise.

• Join a club.

A sports club, a movie club, a dinner club, a sex club - whatever you fancy!
Meet people there, and invite them to your nights out. Again you are consistently building social proof, and increasing the number of people in your group dynamic.

• Don’t try and jump into an encounter or relationship with every attractive person you meet

Make friends and try to be a little more picky as your group increases, and you will probably find a whole bunch of people are into you naturally. Hold off from the ones you don’t want and look out for the one you do. If they turn up to a night you’ve organised you’re in a great position to hit it off with them!

• Put people in contact with each other

This is a key part, helping people has a big impact on social networks. Don’t give give give to people who only take, but putting people in contact with each other will help you stay the centre of all the interactions, and continue to raise you in all their eyes.
Building bridges like this is a incredibly good thing to do for your social life. The more people you know, the smaller your world gets, and you will regularly be bumping into people who know other people I know, and those people will have other friends in common who’s names I already know but who I have yet to meet in person. But I know I’ll be meeting them soon - and soon!
